My name is Cesar. I am 24 years old and am part of the Epic team. I came to Christ at the age of 13. As a Hispanic family, your “religion” is one thing you never change. We had a divided family because of the decision my mom made to follow Christ. It was very hard at first.

     Although we decided to follow Christ and make him our lord and savior, my father didn’t. After years of prayer and hard battle, God gave our family the victory, and my father came to Christ. That is where I saw the hand of God work, and that's where the desire to serve God took roots in my heart. I saw his powerful hand of restoration on my family.

     I started following Christ at age 13 but didn't have a true encounter until I was 19 years old. God put a powerful burden on my heart for the youth, so I became involved in my church youth group. For several years, I lead a small worship group and preached to the youth.

     Pastor Tommy and I spoke about the planting of Epic and the desire he had in his heart for me to be a part of it. I did not hesitate to say yes. Pastor Tommy and the Epic team have slowly become more than just people I know or work with. They have become a family.
