Souls 4 Christ, Inc. is currently working on the following projects in the Philippines and Mexico:
Scholars Program — High School requires tuition in the Philippines. Most families cannot afford to send their children to High School. Souls 4 Christ, Inc. has established the Scholars Program to help further education. This program also extends an opportunity for the Scholars to attend Zion Bible College where they will be trained to teach, establish churches, and give back to their communities. Crusades — Crusades are currently held in the Philippines and in Mexico. During the crusades, food is distributed to families in need and they are given the opportunity to hear the message of Jesus Christ. Fundraising
Pastor Tommy Pinkerton, Director of Souls 4 Christ, Inc., is traveling the U.S. speaking in churches, at youth camps, and at training seminars raising support for the current programs listed above as well as casting vision for future programs including drilling water wells, and building youth activity centers. Tommy Pinkerton gave his life to Christ at 7 years old at Hanson Baptist Church in Hanson, Ky. That marked the beginning of his journey with Christ. When he turned 12 years old, he encountered the mighty Baptism in the Holy Spirit. He received his call to the ministry in his bedroom one Friday night. As the Holy Spirit came into his room in such a real way and brought to his attention Mark 16:15-18.
At that moment a desire to go and preach the gospel came alive in his heart.
Immediately following that encounter with the Spirit, the desire to preach became a reality. At the age of 17, he preached his first sermon at a Church of God in Christ in Madisonville, KY. He met a man of God named Michael Knight who quickly became one of the most influential people in the beginning of what God was preparing him to do. Pastor Michael Knight acknowledged the Spirit of the Lord upon Tommy and invited him to be a part of the youth ministry of Victory Church called Pilot Light. God did some amazing things during that time. Pastor Michael and Tommy traveled all over the U.S. holding youth revivals. They ended up at a church in Greenwood, SC which turned out to be Tommy's first assignment as a Youth Pastor. In 1994 He enrolled in World Harvest Bible College with Pastor Rod Parsley. Upon graduating from WHBC, he evangelized for two years and then made a decision to continue his education at South Western Christian University. He graduated with a B.S. in Biblical Studies.
During the time spent at the University, Tommy met Nannette Cole who would later become his wife. Nannette comes from a rich background of ministry and missions. She has proven to be Pastor Tommy's number one fan and supporter. She has an awesome ministry of her own as a great praise and worship leader and song writer. They spent time as Youth Pastors in Norman, OK where they were able to see God do some amazing things. During their time in Norman, their first son was born, Hayden Thomas Pinkerton. The next stage in their journey was in Bakersfield, CA. They took a ministry opportunity in a small church called Send the Light Ministries during which time their second son was born, Austin Mark Pinkerton.
It was there at Send the Light that Pastor Tommy took his first trip out of the country with Hal Crossley to Mexico.
What transpired next was a direct result of being at the right place at the right time. God gave Tommy a desire for the mission field that turned out to be inescapable. Shortly after returning from Mexico, he made the first 17 hour flight to the Philippines with Pastor Eldon Clendening. It was there that the Lord began to birth a vision for the Philippines.
Currently residing in Buford, GA, Pastor Tommy and his family work full-time with Souls 4 Christ. Pastor Tommy feels like the best is yet to come as he pursues his passion for the Philippines and the nations of the world.
